Provided is a disc device which prevents a disc (5) from being scratched and has further reduced thickness. The disc device is provided with a turntable (21) which is rotary driven with a disc placed thereon; a clamper (4), which turnably sandwiches the disc with the turntable, and has a hook section (41) on the opposite side to the side where the disc is sandwiched; a loading mechanism (13) for carrying the disc between the turntable and the clamper; a clamper holding section (31A) for turnably holding the clamper by engaging with the hook section by a claw section (31a) with a gap; a clamp arm (3), which has arm sections (31, 32) turnably arranged by having at the center a turning shaft which is positioned away from the clamper holding section and moves the clamper between a pressing position and a retracting position; and a clamper regulating member (6) having an elastic section which can abut to a part separated from the turning shaft of the arm section on the opposite side of the clamper moved to the retracting position (4B).
