Provided is a vehicular refrigerating cycle comprising a compressor, which uses a carbon dioxide coolant and which has a capacity control valve capable of controlling a capacity in response to an external signal. The vehicular refrigerating cycle is characterized by comprising such fall preventing means disposed, at a portion positioned in a direction for the capacity control valve to leave the mounting position on the compressor and at a portion positioned on this side of the position for the capacity control valve to come completely out of the compressor, as to stop the motion of the capacity control valve in a direction to leave its mounting position on the compressor. The capacity control valve mounted on the compressor can be prevented from exerting unpreferred influences upon the environment, even if the capacity control valve should become so unfixed for some reason as could pop out of the compressor.
