The arrangement has a curved resistor (2) directly arranged at an external side (4) of a crankcase (1), in a form-fitted, force-fitted and material conclusive manner. The resistor is contactable with an inward lying brush bridge. The resistor is formed as an electrically flat resistor. The resistor has a shape adapted to the external side. The crankcase has a recess (6) for retaining the resistor. The resistor is fastened at the external side using a retaining unit (5). The resistor is connectable over an associated connection latch (8.1). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a crankcase for an electromagnetic drive (2) an electromagnetic drive.
