The unit (10) has a light emission surface (34) for emitting light from a light pigment layer (16), which is arranged on a carrier (12). An electrical conductive casing (30) is designed transparent in an area of the light emission surface. The electrical conductive casing has a transparent material in an area of the light emission surface, where the transparent material is electrically conductive. The electrical conductive casing partially encloses the light unit. The casing forms a shielding against radiation of an electromagnetic radiation.
