A vehicle simulation apparatus the simulation apparatus includes a simulated vehicle, a plurality of dictionaries each comprising a plurality of phrases, a dictionary selection section for selection of a dictionary in response to a simulated situation, a speech recognition section for referring to a dictionary based on the speech of a user to identify a phrase, and an outputting section for performing predetermined functions based on the phrases identified. The vehicle being simulated may be a bicycle comprising cranks, pedals, a crankshaft and handlebars. The dictionary selection may be a selection between child and adult dictionary modes where functions are associated with different phrases or it may be a selection based upon the detail of the simulation e.g. "in-city" dictionary may be selected when the driver or rider passes through a city. |
