The method involves prefixing a cooling module (1) opposite to a lower frame by engaging in a forward position. Cooling components e.g. cooling fluid radiator, are connected to a closed loop, which is connected with an internal combustion engine (4), by hoses and lines. Vehicle frames are connected with the lower frame, and a support frame of a cross member (9) is connected with the vehicle frames. The cooling module is moved from the forward position into an end position within the support frame of the cross member. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for implementing a method for installing a cooling module in a motor vehicle (2) an arrangement of cooling modules in a support frame of a cross member of a front end module of a motor vehicle.
