The rollover protection system consists of rollover protection device (1) for a vehicle seat. A rolling body (2) is movable between a lowered rest position and a raised supporting position with a body fixed guiding unit (30), which is formed u-shaped with lateral journals (3,4) and a crossbeam (5).The journals of the rolling over body arranged diagonally to each other in driving out direction and the crossbeam is formed in varying width with a compensating element (8).
