A hinge having a hinge pin defining a hinge axis and comprising a hole through the hinge pin at right angles to the hinge axis. A locking pin is inserted through the hole when the hinge is in a closed position, which prevents the hinge from opening. When the door is closed the locking pin may be pushed through the side of the hinge and through the hinge pin. This will stop the hinge from working effectively locking it shut. This prevents the door from being opened from the outside even if the conventional lock is forced. This hinge lock makes it impossible to lever the door open from the outside as there is no play at all on the door. |
