The invention relates to and discloses special purpose lithium polymer batteries and a method for production thereof. A feature of the novel batteries is the possibility of connecting the batteries in series by plugging together or in parallel by means of a plug strip. The batteries are characterised by bulges and geometrically equivalent recesses (indentations), permitting the production of large area units. The batteries are flat cells or wrapped tubes of a straight form or curved with a large variation in radius of curvature such that said special purpose battery systems can form semi-circles, full circles or other forms. The current draw is achieved by means of a negative pole and positive pole as described with plug strips of the pressure button type. |
