A method for estimating a rotor position of a senseless BLDC(BrushLess Direct Current) motor is provided to reduce unit cost by simplifying a manufacturing process and reducing the number of elements without mounting a Hall sensor and a Hall connector. A method for estimating a rotor position of a BLDC(BrushLess Direct Current) motor includes the steps of: extracting a measurement signal by removing a PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) noise from an inverse electromotive force generated by a three phase current applied to each phase of the BLDC motor; calculating the rotor position of the BLDC motor; and detecting the position of the BLDC motor by a phase reference value and an offset reference value corresponding to a frequency bandwidth and the rotor position of the measurement signal according to the phase reference value and the offset reference value set for each frequency band of the measurement signal. An apparatus for estimating the rotor position includes a pulse counter(51), an operator(52), and a speed comparator(53). |
