<p>The device has a switchable dissipative unit for discharging of portion of power delivered from a turbine i.e. exhaust-gas turbine (1). The dissipative unit includes a throttle point (3A), which is arranged in a fluid passage between a hydraulic pump (4a), which is coupled with the turbine, and a hydraulic motor (4b), which is coupled with a generator (2). The hydraulic pump and the hydraulic motor are connected with each another by the fluid passage and another fluid passage. The unit includes an electrical resistor, and an eddy-current brake that is arranged between a gear and the pump. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a power generator system.</p> |
