The blower (1) has a blower blade, and a brake strip (4) tightened and/or released using an actuator (6), where the blower is formed as a part of a brake device. The blower is realized as a frictional cylinder (2), where an outer circumference surface of the cylinder is formed as a frictional surface. The strip has two ends, of which one end is fixedly arranged, and the other end is actuated by a drive of an electric motor.
