<p>The lift (1) has a measuring device (8) formed of a cable (81), a drum (82) and a potentiometer (83) for measuring a length (L6) of a telescopic mast (6) and delivering an output signal (S1) representing the length. Proximity sensors and a magnet are independent of the device and generate a signal (S2) that represents a range of relative position between telescopic parts such as a cylinder (631) and a rod (633) of a control piston (63), where the parts are movable with respect to one another based on an extension (F5) of the mast. A comparator (9) verifies a coherence between the two signals. An independent claim is also included for a method of controlling an aerial lift.</p> |
