SYSTEM AND ITS METHOD FOR ANALYZING UTILIZATION OF CONTENTS EMBEDDING FINGERPRINTING INFORMATION

A system for analyzing usage status of contents into which characteristic information is inserted and a method thereof are provided to extract the inserted characteristic information whenever a user uses the contents, to perform real time analysis for the usage information and to provide ranking information on the usage of the contents. A method for analyzing usage status of contents includes the following several steps. A contents usage analysis server inserts characteristic information including a unique number, a provider, a distributor and an advertisement into original data, and stores contents at a database(S10). The contents usage analysis server transmits contents files to a user terminal over a wired or wireless network(S20). The server receives usage information generated whenever the contents is used at the user terminal(S30). The server generates an analysis result by performing data analysis for the received usage information(S40). The server provides the analysis result for the user who requests it or has paid it(S50).
