A creased fabric and a method for producing the same are provided to maintain creases on the fabric effectively, by forming creases on the fabric after impregnating the fabric with a heat-hardenable adhesive. A fabric(2) is impregnated with a heat-hardenable adhesive(5) while the fabric is transferred. Creases(3) are formed on the adhesive-impregnated fabric regularly or irregularly while the fabric is transferred. The resultant fabric is spread above paper on a working stage(9) while the creases of the fabric are kept. The fabric and the paper are transferred between a heating roller(8) and a pressing roller(8') while foil paper(6) is transferred above the fabric. Herein, foil of the foil paper is contacted with an exposed surface of the fabric. The paper and the fabric contacted with the foil are wound while the creases of the fabric are kept. Heat-hardenable resin of the fabric is dried. |
