<p>A data processing apparatus (100) displays electronic data (101) having a hierarchical structure, while referring to the corresponding block auxiliary data (102). Firstly, in that display processing, a block including designated data is read (S101,S102,SD,104), based on the block auxiliary data (102) as read, from the electronic data (101). Then, the block auxiliary data (102) are used to analyze the hierarchical structure of the block data as read (S103,S114,S111), then a result of that analysis is used to calculate a layout, and then the display processing is performed in accordance with the calculated layout (S106,S107). A plurality of blocks can be acquired by dividing the electronic data (101) based on the block boundary data including data indicative of the boundary of pages.</p> |
