<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cargo management system capable of easily coping with change of layout of a warehouse and managing a position of a cargo and a position of a forklift in the warehouse accurately. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of ID tags 12 having information indicating positions in the warehouse S are arranged at a predetermined interval on substantially whole surface of a floor surface G of the warehouse S. Among these ID tags, the ID tag 12 arranged in a cargo putting place SO is stored in a management device 21 as the ID tag 12a for distinguishing a position of the cargo W, and the ID tag 12 arranged in a passage ST of the forklift 100 is stored in the management device 21 as the ID tag 12b for distinguishing a position of the forklift 100. The ID tag 12b is detected by a detection device installed on the forklift 100.
