The present invention relates to an articulation principle for surgical instrumentation comprising two branches (2, 3), namely a moveable branch (2) and a fixed branch (3), with a shaft (1) welded onto the fixed branch (3) of the instrument, which turns freely through the moveable branch (2), said fixed shaft (1) being pierced by two channels (6, 7) formed along the shaft and turning about the latter, and two studs (4, 5) which are fixed to the moveable branch (2) and which, below a certain angle of opening, slide around the shaft (1) and, beyond said certain angle of opening, engage along the two channels (6, 7), which results in the branches (2, 3) spreading apart, without their disconnection from the rotation shaft, thus limiting the zones of contact between branches, said spreading apart of the branches being parallel and varying as a function of the angle of opening of the instrument, characterized in that the channels (6, 7) formed along the shaft (1) are blind, allowing the studs to come into abutment and preventing disassembly of the instrument. |
