A card terminal device, a prepaid card recharging method using the same, and a program recording medium thereof are provided to enable a customer to recharge a prepaid card without using cash by recharging the prepaid card with a credit card. A mode switch(155) switches a card terminal mode into a prepaid card recharging mode when prepaid card recharging is requested. An information checker(165) receives information of a target prepaid card from a prepaid card charging reader(200). A message transmitter(170) generates/transmits recharging request information including payment tool information, target prepaid card information, and a recharging amount to a payment server. A recharging requestor(180) reads a payment approval response message received from the payment server when payment approval is successful performed in the payment server, and generates/transmits the recharging request information to the recharger/reader. An information receiver receives prepaid card recharging details when the recharger/reader recharges the prepaid card as much as the recharging amount. A ticket processor(185) indicates the prepaid card charging history on a ticket and outputs the ticket when the charging process for the prepaid card is completed and the prepaid card charging history transmitted from the prepaid card charging reader.
