<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system using one of hardware and software for executing flexible and fast processing and effectively caching a hardware function, and a hardware/software logic as well as a caching method. <P>SOLUTION: The computer system has a rewritable logic part split into a plurality of slots having approximately equal data sizes. It includes a programmable logic circuit 1 by which the slots are independently controlled in a rewritable manner. A hardware logic 6 and a software logic 9 having similar functions are selectively managed by the software 5. The hardware/software is selected for requested processing with reference to the presence or not of the corresponding hardware logic 6, the presence or not of the empty slot, the presence or not of the replaceable slot and a data amount to be handled by the slot 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
