<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop an electric motor at a predetermined stopping time by instantaneous regenerative electric power smaller than the maximum instantaneous regenerative electric power in stopping the electric motor at constant deceleration, at the time of the emergency stop of the electric motor. <P>SOLUTION: This control device for the electric motor comprises a converter 2 for converting AC power into a DC voltage, an inverter 4 for converting the AC power into AC voltage, an AC electric motor 5, a speed detector 6, a speed control device 7 for controlling an output voltage on the inverter based on a speed command 9 for the electric motor and a speed detecting value, a maximum-speed setter 17, an absolute value circuit 19, an analog divider 16 for calculating a rate of an output of the absolute value circuit 19 and a setting value of the maximum-speed setter 17, a multiplier 15 for multiplying the rate by a setting value 11 of the deceleration, and proportioner 20 for halving the output of the multiplier 15. A deceleration variable means 21 is provided to vary the deceleration of a speed command at the time of the emergency stop of the AC electric motor. The variable control of the deceleration is performed based on an inverse number value of the detecting value of the speed detector 6 to stop the AC electric motor by the variably controlled speed command. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
