FACE REGION DETECTION DEVICE AND CORRECTION METHOD FOR PHOTO PRINTING

A face region detecting device and a correction method for photo printing are provided to correct the various distortion of a face image effectively before the face image is printed by a photo printer, thereby printing the face image and improving image quality. A method for correcting a face region for photo printing comprises the following steps of: inputting image data to an image processing device(S100); extracting a skin color region from the input image data to detect a plane face or a rotated plane face in a face candidate region(S200); dividing the detected face region(S300); extracting distorted data values from divided face regions and correcting the distorted data values(S400); and outputting finally corrected image data visually(S500).
