The lever has a gear shift lever (21) moved through a panel opening region, where the lever is provided in a base panel of a vehicle. A lower end region of the lever is connected with a drive and an upper end region of the lever protrudes outwards from the base panel. The base panel is attached to an outer edge of an inner sleeve (24). A shielding structure (27) protrudes from a dust boot radially outwards below an insertion opening to shield the opening.
