System for ablating the cornea of an eye

The system (10) has an eye tracker (20) determining position of a reference point in an eye (12). A control device is designed such that delivery of number of laser pulses to the point in space is controlled based on a reference-target position of the pulse on the cornea and of an actual eye tracker signal. A set of additional laser pulses is determined only for target positions, which are considered as the reference-target position, and another set of additional laser pulses is determined also for the target positions, which are not considered as the reference-target position.
