The device has a filter element (1) arranged in a filter housing, where fluid to be filter is passed into the filter element. The filter element has an axial end disc (6) at which a sealing element (7) is arranged. The end disc and the sealing element are manufactured as a cast-part of polyurethane and are integrally cast-on at a front side of the filter element. The end disc and the sealing element are made from hard and soft polyurethane, where the sealing element has a shore hardness of 13 and 22. A support frame (3) made of plastic is attached to the filter element. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a filter element for a filtering device.
