The method involves applying a resistant, firmly adhesive coating (3) made of a multi-component resin-harder reaction mixture on a substrate, where the coating is opposite to an aggressive environment. The coating is applied as a continuous compact coating structure (4) or a cellular coating structure (5) or an integrated coating structure with a compact boundary surface structure (6) and a cellular interior structure (7). The substrate is formed as a plastic carrier foil i.e. polyester foil, provided with transponder structures.
