A hand held weighing scale 10 comprises a hook section 4 for supporting a load, a handle section 2 for supporting said hook section 4, a weighing means (12, fig.2) for measuring the load supported by the hook section 4, and a weight indicator 8 for indicating the weight measured by said weighing means 12. The hook section 4 and handle section 2 are movable between an open position in which the hook section 4 is suspended from the handle section 2, and a stowed position, in which at least a portion of the handle section 2 is received within the hook section 4. |
