A folder on-off mobile terminal is provided to convert a screen mode displayed on a display unit, so that a user can select a screen mode suited to size of a provided image, and to enable the screen mode to be converted into a horizontal viewing mode before a folder is fully opened. A controller(140) is circuit-connected to the first sensor unit(121), and is configured to generate a screen conversion signal which converts a screen mode displayed on a display unit(210) into a horizontal viewing mode from a vertical viewing mode when the first sensor unit is changed into a state incapable of sensing a magnetic force generator(220) from a state of sensing the magnetic force generator. The controller generates an input unit control signal for activating a number key button if the second sensor unit(122) senses the magnetic force generator and for inactivating the number key button if the second sensor unit does not sense the magnetic force generator.
