<p>A polarizing plate, a manufacturing method thereof, an optical film, and an image display device are provided to diffuse a metal chemical colloid uniformly by arranging a thickness of an adhesive layer between 10 and 300 nm. First and second transparent protective films(2a,2b) are formed on both sides of a polarizer(1) through adhesive layers(3), so that a polarizing plate is formed. The first transparent protective film is a phase difference plate with a front phase difference greater than 40 nm and/or a thickness direction phase difference greater than 80 nm. The second transparent protective film is a phase difference plate with a front phase difference smaller than 40 nm and/or a thickness direction phase difference smaller than 80 nm. The adhesive layer is a resin solution containing a polyvinyl alcohol group resin, a cross-linker, and a metal chemical colloid with a mean diameter between 1 and 100 nm.</p> |
