A manhole cover locking device is provided to keep a hook safely against an external impact by mounting an elastic portion of a hook on the inside of a manhole cover and exposing an end of a hook to the outside through a hole formed on the side of a manhole, to improve durability of a locking device by supporting an end of a hook in a hole of a manhole cover to be projected or retreated, to let a worker handle a manhole cover easily without damage while opening or closing, carrying and installing. A manhole cover locking device is used for preventing a manhole cover from opening abnormally by forming plural holes(11) on the side of a manhole cover(10), having a hook(12) inserted to the hole of the manhole cover and provided with an incline on the lower part or the upper part and an elastic portion(14) projecting the hook to the outside of the hole elastically, and pressing the inner circumferential surface of a manhole support with the end of the hook using elastic force of the elastic portion. |
