An AD(ADvertisement) method using road image information and a system thereof are provided to offer road information to a driver effectively by inserting AD announcement into the road image information captured by a camera installed in a vehicle. A camera(100) is installed in a vehicle, and obtains location information received from a GPS(Global Positioning System) satellite and road image information corresponding to movement of the vehicle by including a GPS receiver, and a memory storing the location information and the road image information. A road information web server(200) receives/stores the road image information uploaded from the camera to a road information storing part and provides the road image information to a user. An AD processing server(300) stores AD information received from an advertiser to an AD information storing part and inserts AD announcement into the road image information stored in the road information web server by using an AD announcement inserter. A charge collection server(400) collects an AD charge when the advertiser inserts the AD into the road image information.
