LIGHT DIFFUSER PLATE, SURFACE LIGHT SOURCE DEVICE AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY APPARATUS

A light diffuser plate, a surface light source device, and a liquid crystal display device are provided to improve brightness uniformity by arranging a surface with embossed structures in front of the light diffuser plate. Polarizers(12,13) are arranged in front and rear portions of a liquid crystal cell(11) in a liquid crystal panel(20). A surface light source device(1) is arranged behind a rear polarizer, which is arranged behind the liquid crystal panel. The surface light source device includes a lamp box(5), plural linear light sources(2), and a light diffuser plate(3). The lamp box has a rectangular shape. A front surface of the lamp box is opened. The linear light sources are arranged in the lamp box with a constant distance from each other. The light diffuser plate is arranged in front of the linear light sources. The light diffuser plate is mounted on the lamp box to cover an aperture. Reflective layers are arranged in the lamp box.
