The device has an elongated body having an open bottom end and a U-shaped cross-section large enough to accommodate the animal when it is on the ground. A killing part inside the body can be moved in a perpendicular direction and can adopt an upper resting position and a depressed position. A spring urges the killing part back towards its upper position and this part strikes the animal and kills it when it is moved into its depressed position. |
