A method for preparing endothelial stem/progenitor cells from human umbilical cord is provided to isolate and purify the endothelial stem/progenitor cells with high purity through a convenient method. An endothelial stem/progenitor cell prepared by the same method is provided to show highly LDL(low density lipoprotein) absorption capability. A method for preparing endothelial stem/progenitor cells from human umbilical cord comprises the steps of: (a) incising a blood vessel of umbilical cord to expose endothelium; (b) after culturing the endothelium with collagenase at a temperature of 35-38 deg.C for 15-25 minutes, scraping up a cell mass using a scraper; and (c) isolating the endothelial stem/progenitor cells from the scraped cell mass and purifying them. A method for establishing endothelial stem/progenitor cells comprises a step of sub-culturing the endothelial stem/progenitor cells obtained from the method. Further, a step of removing impurities by passing through 0.1 to 0.7 mum of mesh after water-bathing the scraped cell mass is additionally comprised in the method.
