PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

A plasma display panel and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to reduce a manufacturing cost for forming a dielectric by using a dielectric formed only between barrier ribs. A rear substrate(10) and a front substrate(20) are arranged to be opposite to each other. A barrier rib(16) is formed between the rear substrate and the front substrate to divide plural discharge cells(18). A fluorescent substance layer(19) is formed in each discharge cells. An address electrode(12) is formed on the rear substrate along a first direction corresponding to each discharge cell. A display electrode(27) is formed on the front substrate along a second direction intersected with the first direction corresponding to each discharge cell. A dielectric(14) covers the address electrode. The barrier rib is contacted to the rear substrate and protruded toward the front substrate. The dielectric is formed on the rear substrate between the barrier ribs.
