An article transport facility is provided to prevent an article supporting body from being erroneously moved to an article setting position from an article storing position due to earthquake or vibration by converting a lock unit into a lock state. An article transport facility includes a lock device(R) and an operation device(S). The lock device converts an article supporting body into a lock state and an unlock state at an article storing position. The operation device is installed at a moving body(3). The operation device operates the lock states of the lock device and changes a position of the article supporting body into an article setting position from the article storing position. The operation device converts the lock device into the lock state from the unlock state after changing the position of the article supporting body into the article storing position from the article setting position.
