A system and a method for authenticating a moving picture lecture with a smart card are provided to allow only the user having lecture authentication data to receive the moving picture lecture by attaching a lecture authentication key to a moving picture streaming packet and recording the authentication data matched with the authentication key in the smart card of the user. A user terminal(100) requests a moving picture lecture service to a moving picture streaming server(200), receives requirement related to the moving picture lecture service from the streaming server, receives authentication data matched with the requirement from a smart card, and transmits the authentication data to the streaming server. The user terminal receives a moving picture from the streaming server and displays the moving picture when the authentication data is authenticated by the streaming server. The streaming server provides a moving picture streaming packet to the user terminal by attaching an authentication key, and determines authentication by comparing the authentication key with the received authentication data. The moving server includes an authentication database(210) manages the authentication keys. |
