<p>A method for adding a fiber or a polymer is provided to impart special properties to a synthetic fiber, an artificial fiber, and the polymer efficiently, through encapsulation of an additive. An additive is encapsulated in pores of a porous material. The capsules of the porous material are incorporated into a polymer matrix of a fiber. The fiber is spun. The capsules withstand temperatures and other conditions due to different manufacturing processes, by which the fiber is undergone, and introduction of the additive into a polymer matrix thereof. The porous material is metal oxide, zeolite, aluminum phosphate, clay, carbon material, hybrid organic-inorganic material, or porous polymer. Further, an effective period of the additive is extended by inducing the capsules into the polymer matrix of the fiber.</p> |
