The device has a medullar protection shield (2) and a spherical hard nucleus or ball (8) provided within a flexible polymer monoblock assembly sized for an intervertebral space. The ball is made of a hard biocompatible material for supporting high and permanent pressure which is exercised on the ball. The monoblock assembly has an upper surface (11) and a lower surface (10) reinforced in periphery of the assembly by a high resistance stirrup (12). A fixation plate (6) has holes (7) made of flexible polymer, reinforced inwardly by an extensible pierced tissue.
