A display method and a display device are provided to reduce flickers by increasing frequency in FRC(Frame Rate Control) by adding a pseudo-grayscale between two successive grayscales. A display device includes a signal processor circuit(1), a data driver(2), a display panel(3), and a scan driver(4). The data driver supplies input display data to the display panel as predetermined grayscale data. The scan driver supplies scan signals to respective pixels in the display panel. The pixels display the supplied grayscale data from the data driver, while scan signals are supplied. A timing controller controls driving timings of the data and scan drivers. The data driver adopts an FRC scheme so that sufficient grayscales are displayed even by the data driver which outputs less number of grayscales than for the displayed image.
