A vacuum sensing system and a method thereof are provided to very easily measure the degree of vacuum since an additional process and circuit device to adjust a reference gauge need not. A vacuum sensing system includes a gauge sensor(110) and a gauge controller(120). The gauge sensor senses the degree of vacuum to output the sensed degree of vacuum as current. The gauge sensor memorizes a reference gauge vacuum degree value corresponding to the outputted current value by being allocated to a predetermined address together with gauge sensor ID. After the address of the gauge sensor corresponding to the current value outputted from the gauge sensor is extracted, the gauge controller reads the reference gauge vacuum degree value corresponding to the extracted address from the gauge sensor and displays the degree of vacuum based on the read reference gauge vacuum degree value.
