The method of electric spot welding for assembling elements of motor-vehicle body, comprises passing an electric current between two electrodes (20, 21) framing the elements to weld and contact with them, and creating a permanent contact zone between the elements around the spot welding by applying a pressure. The contact zone is a sum of multiple permanent contact sectors to configure the zone to be welded, and is created after the step of passing the current. The method of electric spot welding for assembling elements of motor-vehicle body, comprises passing an electric current between two electrodes (20, 21) framing the elements to weld and contact with them, and creating a permanent contact zone between the elements around the spot welding by applying a pressure. The contact zone is a sum of multiple permanent contact sectors to configure the zone to be welded, and is created after the step of passing the current. A selection of multiple permanent contact sectors among the whole predefined contact sectors is carried out by preliminary parameter according to the configuration of zone to be welded, by detecting obstacles belonging to each predefined contact sectors, and by activating the contact sectors.
