A command buffer of a semiconductor memory device is provided to latch an input command stably in correspondence to the increase of a frequency, by assuring setup time and hold time margin to latch a command as desired. A buffer(10) receives and buffers an external command. A delay part(100) controls pulse width of a command outputted from the buffer. A latch(20) latches the command with controlled pulse width by using a clock signal outputted from the delay part. The delay part comprises a delay time control part outputting a control signal to control delay time and a variable delay part delaying the clock signal in correspondence to the control signal.
