摘要 A positive electrode active material is provided to be substituted for the conventional lithium transition metal oxide, to allow mass production, and to exhibit high output characteristic. A positive electrode active material is capable of absorbing and releasing lithium ions. The positive electrode active material comprises nanowire of vanadium oxide(V2O5) as a main component. The nanowire is produced by a sol-gel method after a vanadate compound is added to an acidified aqueous reaction system containing an acidic ion exchanging agent. A specific surface area of nanowire is adjusted by controlling a reaction time. The nanowire of vanadium oxide is contained in an amount of 50wt% or more based on the total weight of the positive electrode active material.
