An adaptive piecewise linear processing device is provided to sense noise degree and generate a threshold used in a piecewise linear processing part according to the noise level for preventing abrupt change of a final output screen. An adaptive piecewise linear processing device comprises a threshold storing unit(30), a luminance judging unit(40), an adaptive threshold supply unit, and a piecewise linear processing unit(60). The threshold storing unit stores a basic set value and a low luminance set value of a user. The luminance judging unit outputs a current luminance information signal and a maximum luminance information signal by judging the environment full of noise. The adaptive threshold supply unit supplies the adaptive threshold controlled according to the noise level. The piecewise linear processing unit outputs the output data by applying piecewise amplification factors to the input data. The threshold storing unit includes a first threshold storage part(32) setting the applied basic threshold, and a second threshold storage part(34) storing the low luminance set value.
