An air conditioner is provided to induce electrolyzed water flowing down from a gas-liquid contacting element to an electrolyzed water tray instead of a drain pan for preventing the electrolyzed water from being introduced into the drain pan and restraining the corrosion of a heat exchanger positioned in the drain pan, wherein the electorlyzed water passes through a drain hose for preventing the generation of germs in the drain hose. An air conditioner includes a gas-liquid contact element(41) mounted at a lower part of a heat exchanger(21) in a housing for contacting sucked air electrolyzed water containing active oxygen species to remove germs from the sucked water. The electrolyzed water flowing down from the gas-liquid contact element is induced to an electrolyzed water tray(43) and joined into drained water at a lower part of a drain pump(27). A drain hose(27a) has a joining part(66) for joining the electrolyzed water into the drained water and the joining part is located at a position lower than the highest position of the drain hose.
