A VoIP device, a control method thereof and a VoIP system are provided to enable a user to set a desired ring back tone without a special server, thereby providing the ring back tone in an Internet telephone network. A control method of a VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol) device comprises the following steps of: setting and storing a ring back tone according to a transmitter(100); receiving an invite message from a transmitting party(101); confirming a ring back tone corresponding to the transmitting party from a data storage(102); including information about the confirmed ring back tone in a ringing message and transmitting the ringing message(104); and transmitting the ring back tone to the transmitting party through an RTP(Real Time Protocol) so as for the ring back tone to be reproduced in a device of the transmitting party(105).
