The container has a bottle (1) including a rigid/semi-rigid transparent outer wall (2) with a transparent layer (3) that longitudinally transmits a light within its thickness. A lamp (11) is arranged with respect to the layer such that the light from the lamp is longitudinally propagated within the layer. The bottle, the layer and the lamp are adapted such that a part of the light propagated within the layer is diffused from the exterior of the bottle for producing a light effect. The layer is made of translucent/transparent solid and thermoplastic synthetic materials and glass.
