A storage apparatus and a method for reducing a local pressure in the same are provided to prevent a rod-shaped article from being damaged even when an amount of the stored rod-shaped article is increased inside a hopper, and to reduce the local pressure acting on the rod-shaped article inside the hopper. A storage apparatus(1) includes: a hopper storage(2), having a supply part which is connected to a supply unit(3) through a supply passage, and a discharge part which is connected to a discharge unit(4) through a discharge passage; a pressure reducing unit, reducing a local pressure acting on a rod-shaped article inside the hopper storage; and a feeding member(5), having a supply and a first feeding passage in its one side, a discharge and a second feeding passage in its other side and a third feeding passage which directs to an upside approximately in a vertical direction, wherein the surface of the feeding member is formed in such a manner that it fixes a rod-shaped article in a frictional way when it is located in a range of the feeding passage.
