An electrocast brick coated with metal film is provided to prevent the metal film from being exfoliated by stress, to have high durability and heat resistance, and to be useful as a heat-resistant structural frame. An electrocast brick coated with metal film comprises an electrocast brick(1) in which a groove part(3) for regular anchors is formed on the surface, and a metal film(5) which covers the surface of the electrocast brick and is formed to reclaim the groove part for anchors. The metal film contains a platinum group metal. The electrocast brick has a porosity of 5 vol% or less and a glass phase ratio of 15% by mass or less. The film thickness(m) of the metal film ranges from 100 to 400 micron.
